About the role
The position is tasked with coordinating LGP’s quality management and assurance program to align with, and achieve the AS/NZS ISO 9001 standard. LGP is initiating under the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan a quality management strategy to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness across the business, more robust performance and provide new value for our customers.
Having guidance on improvement is necessary for organisations that need to meet regulatory requirements while addressing future customer and staff expectations. The successful candidate will bring to LGP practical experience and understanding of quality assurance principles in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 9001.
Key Accountabilities
- Positively and constructively represent LGP in all opportunities and actively support LGP’s Purpose, Vision, Values and Customer Service Standards.
- Develop and maintain LGP’s Quality Management System to align with AS/NZS ISO 9001 requirements.
- Overseeing the provision of high-quality assurance services for client support, reporting, analytics, risk management, audit coordination, process improvement, and project governance.
- Implement business process re-engineering and continuous improvement processes.
- Provide LGP Executive with current and relevant information relating to Quality Management and quality improvement activities.
- Drive holistic uplift in quality across the organisation to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
Key Challenges
The challenges with this role also present as great opportunities to significantly impact an organisation entering its first ISO certification journey. This role will teach, lead and guide the LGP Executive and its staff on the core requirements to successfully achieve ISO certification. It will help establish LGP's Quality Management System (QMS).
The business will need to be led by the Quality Manager through the necessary changes to evolve and achieve new operational capability, efficiency and quality. The role will need to map business processes and lead the associated re-engineering and change management activity to achieve measured improvement. This new position will prepare LGP for internal and external audits.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Sound knowledge of Quality management tools, techniques and frameworks including emerging trends and techniques.
- Experience in a regulatory-related (compliance, audit, quality assurance) area and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in developing and managing quality assurance frameworks and conducting investigations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering and/or maintaining ISO90001 certification.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining project effectiveness measures and outcome monitoring.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering strategic innovations to improve service delivery in the form of quality improvement initiatives.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at an intermediate level.
