An opportunity currently exists for a Quality Supervisor based at our Taren Point Site on a full-time, permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to support the Quality Manager in leading the Quality function and activities in line with the Quality Engagement plan and direction from the Allied Pinnacle Quality leadership team and Site Quality Manager. Maintain and implement the site Quality Management System and drive compliance in line with the QMS such that the requirements of legislation, third party certifications and all customer requirements are met. 

Key accountabilities include:

  • Support the Quality Manager on food safety and quality providing leadership and direction to the Operations team.
  • Work as part of Site leadership team to ensure functional managers and site leaders comply with food safety and quality requirements within their areas of responsibility.
  • Support food safety and quality aspects of NPD in line with the business policy (including QAS). Ensure high level of QA/QC awareness across the site.
  • Support the Quality Manager to implement and drive the National Engagement plan through site-based activities.
  • Represent the site (and business where required) in a professional manner. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships as a member of the site leadership team and business stakeholders. 
  • Provide responses on quality matters to the Quality Manager, meeting timeline expectations. 
  • Manage food safety risks through the Escalation Flow Process and participate in the site investigation. 
  • Support site teams in food safety and quality investigations and completion of root cause analysis, corrective actions and processes required by the Major Incident Report (MIR). 
  • Show awareness and respect for confidential business information.
  • Completion of Internal Audits at site. 
  • Participate in GAP audits for compliance and customer standards as required prior to scheduled audits.
  • Participate in the inter-laboratory proficiency program where on-site testing is conducted. 
  • Provide quality training for site staff (including CCP training) as required for the role
  • Ensure products are within specification when releasing product. 
  • Monitor the reporting and release of customer COA’s as required. 
  • Monitor supplier COA’s for raw materials as required. 
  • Review and monitor completion of CCP’s as per site verification schedule. 
  • Actively contribute to food safety risk management.
  • Report and escalate any deviations to food safety compliance.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience in quality and food safety standards such as Coles, WSE, BRC & HACCP.
  • Experienced working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with product management systems such as M3 and SAP. 
  • Works well in a team environment and autonomously when required.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Passionate about quality and food safety.
  • Seeking a career path in quality and food safety.
