A full-time opportunity for an experienced Quality Support Engineer has arisen to join the close-knit, inclusive team and enhance product reliability and performance.
The Position
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your duties will include:
- Develop and implement a quality control plan to ensure consistency and reliability of products
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and non-conformances
- Ensure batches of incoming parts are processed in accordance with IQC (Incoming Quality Control), releasing parts to the warehouse only after Quality Manager approval
- Develop and inspect new parts in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Conduct supplier assessment and audits, as well as support quality management initiatives
- Identify areas for improvement through regular analysis of quality data and trends
- Train and support team members regarding quality management practices
- Aid with investigating warranty claims and relaying information to key suppliers
- Perform outgoing quality inspections of finished goods
- Test and approve Return Material Authorisation goods
The Candidate
For this position, prior experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment is required, as well as the following:
- Qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, and/or Quality disciplines
- Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001 knowledge is highly desirable
- Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement in quality auditing management
- Be proactive in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and have well-developed interpersonal skills
