Lead Council's quarry operations team and play a pivotal part in supporting all operational areas of Council.

The Position:
As a crucial member of our dynamic Transport team, the Quarry Manager/Quality Manager oversees Council's quarries and gravel pits. Your role involves ownership of Council's Quarry Management Plan (QMP), ensuring safe, sustainable, and productive operations. Responsibilities include reviewing, evaluating, and implementing the QMP, conducting materials testing and quality control, and scheduling quality assurance activities in line with legislative requirements.
About You:
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a safety-centric leadership approach, well-versed in Safety Management Systems, legislation, and regulations. Key qualifications include a NSW Tier 2 Quarry Manager's certificate and demonstrated experience in quarry management/supervision. Proficiency in Drill & Blast, quarry development, strong maintenance background and excellent people management, communication, and budgeting skills are essential. The ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, deliver a customer-focused approach, comprehend the Chain of Responsibility, and possess relevant tertiary qualifications is highly desirable.
