Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
- Provide leadership and project management expertise to ensure the effective development and delivery of services and projects within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
- Represent the QBCC on relevant working groups established by the Department of Energy and Public Works (EPW) to consider, provide feedback and ultimately implement recommendations impacting the QHWS arising from the QHWS Review and the QBCC Governance Review.
- Contribute to initiatives and policy proposals impacting the QHWS being co-ordinated by the QBCC's Policy and Legislation unit.
- Prioritise, allocate and coordinate project activities and identified action areas, and escalate problems and issues to the Director Insurance Services and relevant Project Steering Committee or governance body. Monitor progress of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met.
- Manage preparation of briefing notes, Committee reports or Board reports to inform the Commissioner, Board, relevant Board committee and other senior executives and internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare project status reports and other reports required through QBCC project management methodologies. Routinely monitor and report on progress of the project to all relevant stakeholders. Provide project reports through the Director Insurance Services.
- Significant experience in the development and implementation of legislation, and required systems, processes and procedures.
- Proven high level planning and problem-solving skills to successfully deal with complex issues in a public or private sector organisation, working to tight timelines.
- Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including
- presenting complex information in a clear and precise manner suitable for the intended audience;
- leading, managing, developing and fostering effective working relationships with internal and external customers in a complex and dynamic environment and involving multi-disciplined teams; and
- preparation of reports, briefing papers and correspondence.
- Possess a strong customer-centric mindset that promotes a culture of customer focussed outcomes.
- An ability and willingness to embrace change, with a track record of driving innovative ways of thinking and working and supporting digital transformation within an organisation.
