There is a requirement for experienced Radio/Telecommunication Technician to support Combat Control, to support the timely and effective capability decisions and focus on Radio/Telecommunications technical support, training and capability development.
Deliverables
Radio/Telecommunications Technician:
- Install, maintain and alter radio telecommunications systems and general equipment for deployments
- Facilitate fleet and after sales support from third party suppliers for the current fleet of hardware and software Materiel Sustainment Support Agreements and commercial agreements.
- Plan, design, implement and maintain complex communications and information systems
- Coordinate training delivery, sustainment establishment and fleet management activities for program and project level capabilities.
- In-house ICT training and mentorship
- Management of controlled cryptographic material
Candidates’ excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms is essential to ensuring they can effectively engage with all stakeholders, including those from non-technical backgrounds, where they will be required to describe complex technical issues, in crisp, concise and accurate forms.

Consultants are required to proactively navigate the organisation, forge relationships, identify solutions, educate, and influence and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Radio/Telecommunication background with relevant qualifications in the field.
- Radio frequency fundamentals
- Telecommunications equipment configuration, maintenance troubleshooting and repair
- Defence technical regulatory awareness
- Electronic and Satellite systems
