Position Overview:
Reporting into the Compliance Manager, the RAMP Safety Specialist is responsible for the Ramp Health and Safety program for our site operations. You will also be responsible for auditing and controlling of the RAMP Safety processes including preventative and corrective action measures.
Key areas that you will focus on:
- Conducts RAMP safety training programs in conjunction with the Compliance Manager.
- Responsible for investigation and documentation of all accidents, (airside) and injuries to determine root causes and assists unit and regional management with developing corrective actions.
- Ensures compliance with company and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements RAMP best practices.
- Conducts RAMP Safety audits and provides on-the-job training.
- Supports aircraft incident root cause investigation and provide reporting to senior Management.
- Providing monthly reporting in relation to training.
- Works with the Unit Operational Managers to secure full compliance for regulatory compliance.
About you:
- From 5 years of experience in the field of safety and/or risk experience required.
- Previous in airline, manufacturing, transport operations or other similar type environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required.
- Minimum qualifications include High School graduate or equivalent (Diploma).
- Certificate 4 in Work Place and Safety.
- Preferred qualifications include Degree in the discipline of Occupational Safety and or Risk Prevention.
