The Risk & Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing safety programs and policies to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees on safety practices, and ensuring the workplace is safe and hazard-free.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in risk management and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a risk management or safety role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
