The Position

The City is seeking a passionate and dedicated municipal local government Ranger to join its team in a full-time position.  We offer excellent facilities and equipment.  The successful candidate will have a strong customer service and work ethic and liaise with the community on Ranger-related compliance matters. The successful candidates will join a dedicated team that has a desire to be the best service in the state and continue to improve to meet our community’s expectation and City objectives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completed and obtained a Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement A & B or Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 & 2
  • Demonstrated ability in the interpretation and enforcement of statutes, associated regulations, local laws and policies relevant to Ranger Services
  • Experience with animal handling
  • Advanced problem solving, investigation skills, conflict resolution, and negotiation and conciliation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills
  • Work well within a team environment and committed to ongoing change

Salary: $78,894 - $92,141 per annum depending on skills and experience.
