Our client, a Global Pharmaceutical Organisation, is looking for an experienced R&D Scientist to join their team on a 12 month contract basis. This is a full-time contract position, located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
About the role:
Reporting to the R&D Manager this role will incorporate both laboratory-based work as well as documentation/report writing.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize and assemble data, supporting documentation, and conduct scientific literature searches.
- Prepare and update documentation and regulatory submission documents
- Seek innovative solutions to provide excellent customer support and create efficiencies
- Supporting manufacturing in deviations and change control
- Contribute to the research and development of new viral clearance strategies
- Create tables and analyse and interpret experimental data
- Minimum of Masters, or BSc (or equivalent) in Virology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
- Background in virology, process or protein chemistry background
- Experience in Biopharmaceuticals is ideal
- Understanding and experience working under GLP and/or GMP (desirable)
- Good problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good team working skills
