Reception Team Lead

Hobart OBGYN is seeking a part time Reception Team Lead to join our team at our busy practice which operates Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be available to work 4 days per week from open until close with the flexibility to work additional days to cover leave in the business. 

About us

Hobart OBGYN is a specialist medical practice which aims to provide exceptional care through our multidisciplinary team approach for Women’s Health including Obstetrics care. Our practice includes a team of Specialists, Allied Health Professionals, Midwives and Nurses, and Administrative Team.

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum of 12 months medical reception experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a small team environment.
• Ability to multi-task and work productivity in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Experience with Genie medical software is highly desired.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Administration team including being responsible for all administrative tasks being completed and delegating to members of the team as required. 
• Supervise and support the Administration team with any questions or queries.
• Provide mentoring and feedback to the Administration team. 
• Liaise with patients, hospital staff and medical professionals in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments and arrange hospital procedures.
• Preparation of documentation for mail and electronic correspondence.
• Answering the telephone and conveying messages in an efficient and professional manner.
• Handling payments, including cash and EFTPOS.
• Assisting with financial reconciliation and banking duties.
• General administration duties including operation of standard office equipment.
• Management of email correspondence.
