The QTU is seeking a temporary Receptionist to join our team and be the friendly face that greets our members and visitors.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact, making a positive first impression for the QTU.

Established in 1889, the QTU is the registered industrial organisation (or union) representing state school teachers and principals throughout Queensland. The Union is now the professional and industrial voice of more than 48,000 members including teachers, principals and TAFE educators in Queensland state primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, TAFE institutes and other educational facilities.

- Warmly welcoming visitors, tradespeople, and contractors and issuing necessary passes.
- Efficiently directing calls and emails to the right team.
- Receiving and organising deliveries.
- Maintaining a professional and inviting reception area and meeting rooms, ensuring a great first impression for everyone.
- Providing administrative support during busy periods, demonstrating your adaptability.
- Communicates clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing.
- Thrives in a dynamic environment and excels at juggling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is a must, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Embraces teamwork and brings a positive and helpful attitude to the workplace.
