Podiatry Reception / Allied Health Assistant Position

We are looking for another casual receptionist to join our team, working alongside other reception staff.  Our business is growing rapidly and we need more administration staff.  At Wynnum Podiatry we foster a culture that is relaxed, and fun. This position is multi-faceted. You will be working directly with the patients, assisting the podiatrist, whilst also fulfilling administrative duties. There is never a dull moment and little chance of becoming board behind a desk.

You will become a part of a long standing, locally owned, small business. We have been servicing the community for over 20 years. We have delightful clients, a great team, and pride ourselves on creating an environment that anyone is happy and comfortable to walk into. We’re located in the heart of Wynnum, near shops, public transport, and great coffee. There is dedicated staff parking, and you will not be required to work weekends.

Job Requirements 

· Greeting Patients

· Preparing patients for the podiatrist: providing a foot soak and positioning the patient ready for their treatment.

· Making and confirming appointments

· Invoicing, Billing and Receipting

· Answering the phone

· General cleaning

· Sterilising and packing of instruments

Key Criteria

· Previous experience within a Podiatry clinic would be extremely advantageous but Medical or other Allied Health (Physio, Chiro, GP clinic, etc) would be acceptable.  

· Excellent Communication Skills

· Ability to plan and prioritise workload

· Ability to multi task

· Calm and reliable

· Operate Hicaps and Eftpos

· Good knowledge of EPC program and referral requirements

· Knowledge of DVA, Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing

· Knowledge of Front Desk or other practice software

· Sterilising instruments

· Work within a team environment and independently as required

· Attention to detail

The candidate must have extensive experience within the allied health or medical field.  We require a senior receptionist with extensive knowledge of medical software and billing patients.

On site training will be available to the successful applicant but we are looking for someone who has the majority of the above skills.

The start date is ASAP.
