Hinterland Christian College is currently accepting applications for a Receptionist to join our team. The physical space provides the canvas for a peaceful, safe and beautiful learning environment in and out of the classrooms. The Opportunity: A successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- an active Christian faith;
- a capacity to undertake routine support tasks within a school environment;
- a capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including parents, students, staff, visitors contractors and all external stakeholders;
- A current drivers licence;
- experience with Google Drive and social media applications would be advantageous;
- A Working With Children’s Check (or the ability to obtain);
- a commitment to professional learning and growth.
- Attend to reception area – enquiries from staff, students, contractors and parents
- Manage all incoming calls, maintain the telephone and voicemail system
- Administrative support of student management software /parent communication apps
- Maintain student transport diary (changes to student transport arrangements)
- Administration of digital student records in Compass
- Monitor and order/collect kitchen supplies
- Organise second hand uniform stock and parent enquiries
- Monitor unwell students, record required student sickness and liaise with parents/carers as required
- Monitor and maintain stock levels and maintain register of all first aid products
- Keep collection tidy and containers clean (preventing hygiene issues)
- Provide timely reminders to teachers and parents
- Arrange donations/disposals
- Post Office – deliveries and collection from local post office, disperse to relevant recipients at the college.
- Assist with school student attendance information and administration
- Administration of canteen management module within Compass, including weekly student lunch orders – maintaining Compass ordering portal, phone orders, report printing and liaising with secondary staff
- Supporting relevant staff in the preparation for promotional and community events as needed
- Researching and procuring promotional products for preschool promotions and/or special events
- Maintain and organise resources within the Library space
- Update digital Library management system with new resources and students when required
- Other duties as requested by the Principal
- Actively support the Principal in delivering the College’s outcomes
- Diary Support- booking of enrolment interviews for the Principal and follow up on meeting requests.
- Operational and administrative errands as needed.
- Collation of images and information pertaining to events and school activities
- Maintaining social media accounts and posts in consultation with the Principal
- Responding to enquiries/comments in relation to social media content
- Collation of enrolment supporting documentation
- Enrolment administration processing – scanning and filing documents
- Entering of digital student records in Compass
- Exhibit behaviour, through word and action, which reflects the ethos and Christian foundations of the school;
- Abide by the Staff Code of Conduct;
- Be familiar with and follow school policies and procedures;
- Carry out your responsibilities to the best of your ability and in a Christian, safe and professional manner; and
- Reflect on your own work performance and seek further training or professional development opportunities to update your knowledge and skills to serve the College.
