We are an established, expanding specialist Paediatric practice with a dedicated group of staff.
About the role
You will be a joining a team of secretaries sharing duties in a friendly, customer-focused environment.
We are looking for staff to work 2-3 shifts a week, in a casual capacity, with availability to start as soon as possible. Progression to a part-time role will be considered depending upon performance and ability to work well in a team environment.
You will need experience in liaising with doctors, patients and families and have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, & independently for part of each shift. A high level of organization & multi-tasking, computer, typing & telephone skills is essential.
Experience with arranging and supporting telehealth is highly desirable.
Roles include meeting/greeting of patients & families in a courteous, respectful & friendly manner ; answering telephones ; taking messages ; scanning of documents ; receiving, distributing and sending mail ; daily banking reconciliation ; booking appointments ; billing of patients ; ensuring adequate supplies of stock and equipment ; setting up consultation rooms.
Other housekeeping & administrative duties may be requested at times.

Above-award wages are offered to permanent staff. Casual rates will be be in accordance with Schedule C of the relevant award.

Skills and experience
Experience using medical software (Genie) and Medicare billing.
Banking reconciliation skills within Genie is highly regarded.
A current Working with Children check is required prior to commencing employment.
Being willing and able to provide cover for sick & annual leave.
