AddressWe are looking for a Part TimeMedical Receptionist to join our busy GP owned practice, two days per week.
The practice is a 5-minute walk to bus and rail lines (T2 and T3 lines) and is nearby to RPA Hospital and its network of specialists, allied health, and pathology providers.
Duties include:
- Greeting patients and visitors
- Attending to telephone and email enquiries
- Scheduling and following up appointments
- Processing payments and Medicare billings
- Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and office supplies
- Daily banking, maintaining practice financial records and reconciling
The successful applicant will:
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele
- Multi-task and work well under pressure
- Have a keen sense of initiative and desire to problem solve
- Be computer-literate
- Have extensive experience working in customer service
- Always maintain patient confidentiality
- Be willing to undertake internal, mandatory training and development (CPR, Triage, Cold Chain Management, Privacy and Information)
- Have a Working with Children Check and Police Check
Desirable skills or experience:
- A working knowledge of Best Practice Software
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist
