THE ROLE

Due to company growth, we require a Receptionist/ Admin Assistant to join our team in our Alderley office. This role would work closely with our team and our clients and would report to the Operations Manager.  

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) :

  • Receiving and directing incoming phone calls;
  • Welcoming visitors at reception & completing paperwork; 
  • Maintaining site visitor records;
  • Ordering and maintaining stationary supplies; 
  • Minutes taking and communications activities as required;
  • Ensuring the workspace is kept clean and tidy; 
  • Coordinate cleaners;
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating clients work;
  • Basic accounting duties involving receipts, payments etc;
  • Stocking of the company of consumables as per normal (i.e. Order mixed gas for both laboratory and field, ensure customers have liquid nitrogen for thawing jobs, etc); 
  • Stock lists or by request from the management staff;
  • Arrange collections and deliveries by couriers as required;
  • Drop parcels at the Post Office;
  • Assist with answering incoming calls about late payment enquiries, late invoice enquiries, IVF results, interpret and explain IVF results, provide IVF forecast to customer, embryo preferences for thawing, the location of semen/embryos;
  •  Source and organise handyman as required;
  • Organise staff events; 
  • Collect the mail, scan and forward to employees that don’t come into the office;
  • Data entry activities; 
  • Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re sociable with strong customer service skills, willingness to learn as you go, positive attitude and embrace diversity. 

You’ll also be able to demonstrate: 

  • At least 12 months of experience as an Admin/ Receptionist working in agribusiness industry (desirable) - agribusiness or similar;
  • Solutions-focussed approach coupled with eager to learn and ability to build positive relationships;
  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Google Workspace;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of clients;
  • Unrestricted driver’s license - desirable;
