About the role
As a Receptionist/Office Assistant to head office, your duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Answering of incoming calls, emails, texts and directing information to appropriate staff member.
- Welcoming head office visitors, staff members and suppliers and assisting them where necessary.
- Assisting HR department with new employees, set up all IT resources and communication devices where necessary and providing new employees with relevant resources to perform their duties.
- Typing of reports and documents for managers and staff members where required.
- Ensuring the office is always clean and presentable and ensuring kitchen is cleaned and stocked.
- Assisting with uniforms, stationery, chemicals, amenities and consumable order for head office.
- Performing periodic inventory counts and equipment reconciliations.
- Assisting with liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers with bookings.
- Assisting with reimbursements and reconciliations.
- Postage of outgoing mails and distribution of incoming mail.
- Assisting the fleet management team with company motor vehicles, maintaining registers and ensuring required forms are completed and accordingly filed.
- Maintaining office registers.
- Assist managers in any reasonable duty that is requested.
- Data entry and filing of necessary documents.
- General office duties.
Skills and experience
To be considered for an opportunity with Sentinel Security Group, you must be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience within the following areas:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast- paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft 360 package (Outlook, Word, Excel etc).
- Strong customer service experience & great phone manner.
- Friendly, reliable, self-motivated and proactive.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
