Corbett Earthmoving Pty Ltd is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday during the hours of 8.30 to 5pm - located at Townsend, NSW 2463.
The successful candidate will be a professional and friendly first point of contact for visitors/clients and incoming telephone calls.

Job Summary: As a Receptionist/Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting with various tasks within the office environment. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth and development in office procedures and operations. You will work closely with experienced office staff to gain practical skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist in performing general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Communication: Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and mail distribution. Relay messages accurately and promptly to the appropriate parties.
- Scheduling: Help maintain office calendars.
- Documentation: Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading documents, including memos, letters, reports, and presentations. Ensure documents are formatted correctly and filed appropriately.
- Office Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organised office environment. Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed. Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Customer Service: Provide support to clients, visitors, and staff members by greeting them warmly, answering inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate personnel or resources.
- Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases. Update information as required and ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
- Project Assistance: Support ongoing projects by coordinating tasks, gathering necessary materials, and providing administrative assistance to project teams.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training programs and mentorship opportunities provided by the organisation. Take initiative to expand knowledge and skills relevant to office administration.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies and procedures related to office operations, confidentiality, safety, and security. Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional education or training in office administration or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanour and customer service orientation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of MYOB and XERO software is desirable.
- Driver's licence & own transport.
