About the Position:
As the Records Administration Officer at the Shire of Broome, you will be required to undertake a wide variety of administrative duties that will support the overall provision of record keeping services.
The Records Administration Officer will be responsible to:
- Assist in the provision of efficient and effective records management for the Shire of Broome.
- Provide general records administrative duties including data entry, photocopying, scanning, filing, barcoding and recording.
- Collecting, opening, sorting, recording and distributing incoming hardcopy correspondence.
This is a Full time fixed term position to cover Maternity leave from 2 February 2024 to 5 February 2025. Work hours can be potentially negotiated for the right candidate, making it ideal for parents with school-aged children to suit your work/life balance.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively work independently and within a team environment, display appropriate judgement, flexibility, organisational awareness and good problem solving skills. Well-developed computer literacy skills and good attention to detail will be essential to excel in this role. Previous experience working in local government would be highly regarded but not essential.
