The Finance and Corporate Team are responsible for maintaining compliance, ensuring good financial governance and managing fiscal responsibility as part of our overall mission to provide exceptional paediatric healthcare.

Our team collaborate closely with clinical departments to maintain the effectiveness of financial systems, controls, reporting, and records management, and ensure that adequate resources are available and allocated efficiently for staffing, patient care, innovation and research, and medical equipment and technology.

We ensure financial practices adhere to legal and ethical standards, contribute to financial and strategic decision making and support the achievement of organisational objectives, priorities and reform, enabling the organisation's long-term growth and sustainability.

Position Profile and Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Manager Records and Compliance and play an important role in advancing our strategic information management and Compliance initiatives.

Reporting to the Executive Director – Finance and Corporate, you will lead your team to ensure CAHS meets business and legislative requirements, providing risk management reporting to audit and risk committees, CAHS executive, and the Board.

You will work to support operational compliance and alignment with the broader whole-of-government records management protocols. This includes ensuring appropriate user access and security protocols are in place to safeguard Records and information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shaping the future of knowledge management systems through the development and maintenance of the CAHS Record Keeping Plan in collaboration with service areas;
  • Providing leadership to implement electronic document records management system (EDRMS) throughout CAHS;
  • Coordinating the review of recordkeeping practices across CAHS in accordance with the CAHS Record Keeping Plan;
  • Anticipating opportunities and trends and initiating change and innovation related to Records and Compliance.
  • Offering training and consultation to individuals and teams, expanding the capability of CAHS to achieve best practice Records and Knowledge management through the implementation of the Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS).
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline, improve user access and experience, address system issues, and reduce risk in line with parameters governed by the Department of Health.
