Records Officer required for a temporary assignment within a reputable state government organisation

Your new role
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Establishing and advocating for best practices in physical and electronic records management
- Utilising SharePoint and other Microsoft365 applications for the management of electronic records
- Refining and finalising a disposal program for the lawful destruction and archiving of temporary information
- Preparing permanent information for transfer, which includes consulting with key officers and the Public Record Office
- Maintaining a digitisation program to introduce and promote business process improvements, including the conversion of source information.
This role will offer expert advice on information management and EDRMS to officers.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Records Officer and role will lead you to success, as will
Records and Information Management: You should have a deep understanding of best practices in both physical and electronic record management.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SharePoint and other Microsoft365 applications for managing electronic records is crucial. You should also be comfortable with EDRMS (Electronic Document and Records Management System).
Project Management: You will need to establish and manage various programs, so project management skills are essential.
Communication Skills: As you'll be consulting with key officers and providing expert advice, strong written and verbal communication skills are important.
Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of compliance programs and the ability to ensure staff compliance at a role level is necessary.
Training and Development: You should be capable of building organisational and employee capability through policy and procedure development, deployment, and training.
- Digitisation Skills: Experience with digitisation programs, including converting information from physical to digital form and implementing workflows to manage digital information, is required
