Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate estimates, skillful negotiation for maximum recovery and settlement savings, all while prioritizing exceptional customer service. - Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve organisational goals.
- Exhibit professional workplace conduct and fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.
- Efficiently oversee the recovery and settlement process for assigned workflow.
- Ensure compliance with workplace policies such as Equal Opportunity, Enterprise Agreement, Code of Conduct, and OH&S.
- Adhere to National Process Guidelines for Recoveries, Settlements, and claims management.
- Make timely decisions aligned with business values and team objectives.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of authority limits and company protocols.
- Operate within designated authority levels and provide recommendations when necessary.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics for document handling and phone interactions.
- Ensure accurate processing of all transactions.
- Proactively manage risks on a daily basis by strictly following company processes and procedures, fostering a culture that prioritises risk management.
- Address customer inquiries related to existing insurance claims.
- Resolve complaints professionally, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Completion of Secondary School Certificate (Mandatory)
- ANZIIF Qualifications (desired, but not essential)
- Minimum 12 months of experience in Insurance Claims or a related field
- Strong customer service skills & attention to detail
- Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Conflict resolution & negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a drive for results
- Supportive team player
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities
- Understanding or willingness to acquire knowledge of Insurance Contracts Act, GI Code of Practice, road rules, liability determination, and claims processes
- Familiarity with Suncorp's internal dispute resolution process and ability to initiate when necessary
