Recruitment Officer

The McIntosh Group, established in 1955 is a private company wholly owned and controlled by the Western Australian based McIntosh Family. The primary business of the McIntosh Group is the retail and wholesale of Agricultural, Construction and Turf machinery, parts, and accessories.

The Role

We are looking for a Recruitment Officerto support our busy branches with resourcing candidates.

You'll be at the heart of our talent acquisition efforts, guiding the entire recruitment journey from sourcing to negotiation for all our roles from senior managers to front-line team members. Collaborating closely with our department managers, you'll craft strategic plans that align with our staffing needs. Ensuring a delightful experience for candidates, you'll provide timely communication, feedback, and support every step of the way.

Beyond sourcing top talent, you'll promote our employer brand across social media and job fairs, championing diversity and inclusion. 

As a key player within our People & Development team, you'll assist with onboarding our new hires, making their transition smooth and welcoming. Through meticulous reporting and analytics, you'll continuously refine our recruitment processes for maximum efficiency.

Day to day responsibilities

• Provide in-house recruitment services nationally.
• Create, edit, or update job descriptions to ensure accuracy of role and relevance.
• Place ads on listed job boards; seek new boards that are relevant to the industry.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies as appropriate.
• Screen and shortlist resumes into the candidate pool.
• Conduct phone assessments/interviews.
• Conduct reference checks.
• Coordinate in-person interviews with the manager.
• Conduct HR onboardings, ensuring all documentation is received/signed.
• Exit interviews.

What you’ll bring 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within end-to-end recruitment in heavy industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and various senior stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of recruitment.
• Proactive approach to recruitment, with a willingness to explore new strategies to attract top talent.
