The Service Desk Officer provides a professional and courteous first point of contact to internal and external customers for all ICT-related issues. Under the coordination of the ICT Customer Support Manager, this position is responsible for the logging, initial allocation, basic analysis, and follow-up of service calls to the Service Desk, including best efforts to resolve all queries at first presentation. The position attempts initial analysis of issues impacting hardware and software services with the aim of either resolving or escalating the issue to an appropriate resolver team.To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in ICT problem management software; come from a service oriented background; with a focus on “fix on first” customer support to directly resolve technical issues as they arrive; and have a sound background in ICT in a support environment.As a measure to achieve equality under sections 51, 66R and 66ZP of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people (24 years of age and under) and people with disability who meet the requirements of the position may be prioritised for appointment.Employee Benefits
