Applications are invited for a Recruitment and Personnel Assistant to support all Nursing recruitment and establishment services at the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. Working with the Nurse Manager Workforce, the successful candidate will bring a range of experience to support senior managers, drawing on your skills and ability to plan, prioritise and execute your work priorities.
The successful applicant will have outstanding communication skills, excellent attention to detail and discretion to maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment . This role offers a fantastic opportunity for development in all facets of workforce recruitment and on boarding.
Previous experience in recruitment ,on boarding, and preparing high level documents will be looked upon favourably.
What you'll be doing
The Recruitment and Personnel Assistant is the first point of contact for all nursing recruitment and establishment function for Nursing Services at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and works collaboratively with the nursing recruitment team at Sydney Children's Hospital Westmead, particularly to ensure all Network nursing positions are approved and advertised. The position holder provides a range of administrative services to enable timely, reliable and accurate nursing recruitment and establishment services.
The Recruitment and Personnel Assistant will be able to work independently within the appropriate legal, policy and procedural guidelines and make decisions within the scope of duties and set own work priorities to ensure delivery of efficient client focused services.
The position will be responsible for processing applications for recruitment in
consultation with the Nurse Manager Workforce, while monitoring and maintaining the agreed establishment service level and position reporting lines. This position provides front-line support for all Nursing Services enquiries.

Previous recent experience working in a HR transactional or recruitment environment for a large, complex organisation.
Strong customer service skills with a focussed and responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining confidentiality
Demonstrated proficient organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to develop interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff and external parties
Proven ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment with proven capacity to manage concurrent activities of a diverse nature
Ability to manage resources to ensure the delivery of services including the review of operational systems relevant to nursing recruitment processing and on-boarding
Ability to carry out a variety of functions which may be complex in nature and use judgement to modify requirements according to different situations
Demonstrated proficient computer skills with experience using MS Office programs and HRIS systems
