Working for a global mining company with significant Australian operations, the successful applicant for this role will lead a group of specialist recruiters delivering high quality recruitment services to operations. At times, the immediate requirements may be demanding with short time frames and high volume needs so the key to success will be building and developing capability within the team. Working closely with the Recruitment Manager, there is a strong strategic element to this position so being able to consider the bigger picture, understand both short and long-term requirements and establishing processes to effectively meet these needs is paramount. To be successful candidates must have the following skills and experience:
- Proven expertise in managing teams of recruitment professionals focussing on blue collar recruitment.
- Previous success in working in a demanding and fast paced recruitment environment.
- A strong knowledge of best practice recruitment processes, assessment centre selection, talent management and attraction and methodologies
- Experience applying innovative sourcing strategies.
- Possession of highly developed leadership skills and exceptional interpersonal communication skills with experience relating to people at all levels
- An ability to perform under pressure, respond quickly to requests and achieve effective results within tight timeframes
It is envisaged that the successful applicant will have in excess of seven years experience with demonstrated end to end recruitment experience. They will have worked in a high volume blue-collar recruitment environment preferably within a mining business. A background in an internal role is essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded as will demonstrated ongoing professional development.
