Football West is the sole governing body for football in WA and represents all levels of competition, development and coaching in metropolitan and regional areas.
With approximately 200,000 participants and 44,000 registered players, Football West, which is affiliated to Football Australia, fosters an environment that brings the game to life on parks, pitches, and indoor centres around the state.
The Opportunity
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the world of football? We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Referee Support Officer on an initial 12-month, fixed term contract.
In this key position, you will handle the crucial administrative tasks related to referee allocation, recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance management during football matches. Your effort will ensure that every game is fair, safe, and enjoyable. This role is not just about administration; it’s about making a real impact on the ground by ensuring our referees are well-prepared and well-supported. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the creation
of educational materials and help organise development events that enhance our referees' skills.
About You
• You are enthusiastic and proactive, capable of working independently and taking initiative.
• Your excellent communication skills make you a stellar representative for Football West.
• You have a keen eye for detail and are experienced in handling customer-focused tasks effectively.
• You are a master of organisation and time management, with strong IT skills,
particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Prior knowledge of the Laws of the Game is a plus, but we welcome those keen to learn.
Requirements
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
