The Team
We are a small team that enjoys working hard in a busy environment; however, we value a healthy balance in life and actively manage flexible working arrangements. We are located on the Murdoch University campus with easy access to public transport. We love what we do and the frequent interaction with our members makes us aware of how important our work is.
What we are looking for:
This is a full-time position offered on an ongoing basis. We are seeking a motivated person with either office administration or customer service experience, with a desire to pursue an administrative role. The tasks assigned to this role are varied. You will perform basic office administration duties as well as more advanced tasks around planning and communications. Primarily supporting our public and in-house training programs, our ideal candidate will confidently engage with new people and be willing to assist at other IPAA events. Note there is no weekend or late night work involved.
Your role will cover key responsibilities such as:
- Preparing (not developing) all the workshop material for public and in-agency training programs with a high level of attention to detail and presentation.
- Booking venues and catering for all public workshops.
- Setting-up public training workshops.
- Creating and scheduling the Video Conference Meetings (Zoom and/or MS Teams) for our online training programs.
- General and ad-hoc administration duties such as monitoring and ordering office supplies.
- Have the ability to work well under pressure
- Be organised, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Communicate and present in a professional manner
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint desirable)
- Previous experience working in an office administration role
- Previous experience in, or an understanding of event planning (e.g., booking venues, approving invoices etc.)
