Regional Account Manager

Do you like power tools? - like keeping up with the latest and greatest products that are coming out. Then this role is for you and you will get to check out tools and talk tools all day long to help grow local business.

This role is part of the Senior Leadership of the business and accountable for sales in the Rockhampton region.

Must Have:

1. Industry Knowledge - this role will focus on the sales and service of welding equipment, so you are going to need a good competent understanding of welders and all the parts that go with them.

2. Connecting with People - the role needs a person that cares about people and appreciates the art of carefully soliciting and meeting their needs, always making the customer sincerely believe they are valued in the business.

3. Negotiating with Care - you will be working with established clients who support the business with large revenue accounts as well as supporting the local bloke with the needs.

4. Look out for NEW business - while you go about your care, maintenance and growth of the current client base, you will be looked to also to identify and connect with new clients

5. A willingness to support your team to get the job done and keep our customers happy.

Highly Desirable

6. Technical Competence - good experience in the use of welding equipment and other industrial-type tools

About the Job

• This role will require occasional travel to customer locations.
• This role will require quarterly trips to main office in Bundaberg
• This role reports to the General Manager.
• This role will be supplied a vehicle, phone and laptop - as well as any other reasonable equipment needed to complete the role duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $85,000.00 – $92,750.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus

Experience:

• Key Account Management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Welding Equipment: 3 years (Preferred)
• Industrial Tools Sales: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
