ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Regional Coordinator of the Early Childhood Traineeship project, you will be accountable to provide contact, information and partnering with services for the Childhood Education Traineeship Project. In this role, you will attract services to the program and recruit trainees, across the state, facilitating the matching and the onboarding process and provide support throughout the traineeship cycle under the guidelines of the Victorian Government’s Department of Training and Education. 

You will be a key and active participant of the Early Childhood Education business area and provides support to students working in the designated zone that Chisholm Institute manages.

Your main responsibilities include-

• Assist to promote traineeships and recruit trainees for employers across the state 
• Mentor and support trainees throughout the lifecycle of the Early Childhood Traineeship Project from initial contact to completion including on-site visits, statewide.
• Support employers to engage with the program and match with suitable candidates
• Liaise with TAFE providers to ensure students are supported throughout their studies

The position is not confined to one campus and is required to travel throughout the state as needed, and is to provide support services as required by the operations of the business. Hence, having a valid VIC Driver’s licence is essential.

About you

You will have-

• A relevant Degree qualification or a combination of lower-level qualifications and extensive experience in a similar role in Business Development or Early Childhood traineeship Delivery
• Highly developed communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with students and staff at all levels and from a range of backgrounds
• Experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated experience in the planning and provision of employment services, activities and programs
•  It would be desirable if you have demonstrated understanding or experience in the provision of student services within a post-secondary institution, including an awareness of issues affecting current students in TAFE
• Competency using MS Office (word, excel and email) Learning & managing bespoke database systems
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team 
• A Valid and current VIC Drivers Licence
