We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Group Safety Team as a Regional Health and Safety Manager based in NSW. Primarily based at one of our depots in Eastern Creek as well as regular travel between our other depots. Interstate travel is required from time to time as per business requirements.
The Role
- Support site safety consultation meetings across our NSW depots.
- Support and conduct investigations of incidents and manage outcomes in partnership with site Operations.
- Ensure that preventative safety controls are implemented in a timely manner and communicated effectively.
- Support Site Operations to review and maintain Safe Work Instructions across all sites.
- Ensuring compliance with required standards and identify and implement new safety initiatives where necessary.
- Complete initial onsite risk assessments when required or when a new process is introduced.
- Ensuring Site Managers are safely onboarding all staff.
- Ensuring the depots across the group are compliant and are adhering to company standards including contractors, when required.
- Regular review of the contractor and visitor induction program and implement new processes and procedures alongside the Onsite Operations.
- Maintain safety related reporting at a Site Manager level.
- Working with FMH Group Safety team and the relevant Site Operations to promote and support our policies and procedures.
Experience required
- Cert IV in WHS
- Experience in a WHS Management role particularly in Transport and Logistics
- Working knowledge of NHVR
- Strong knowledge of workplace Health and Safety laws.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience and proven ability to collaborate effectively with relevant operations and management teams.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risk proactively.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own time
