Our opportunity
As a Regional HSE Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership of the Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) function to the Regional Business Unit Leader (ROM) to ensure effective management of HSE by projects or related workplaces and the overall regional business unit planning and delivery function; consistent with the Mirvac Construction Principles; Mirvac HSE Requirements and the Mirvac Minimum Requirements.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake health safety and environmental duties
- Be accountable for an effective rollout of the HSE assurance program
- Identify audit trends and track non-conformances and corrective action to promote continual improvement and prevent recurrence
- Ensure the implementation of the HSE Management System across designated regional projects
- Support the Regional Business Unit with HSE on all bids and Investment Papers
- Communicate incident occurrences at a project or other workplace
- Provide detailed, accurate and timely HSE reporting at monthly intervals
- Review incidents of workers' compensation injury and return-to-work programs
To be successful you are a Regional HSE Manager/HSE Manager or highly experienced Sr HSE Advisor with solid experience in a variety of commercial projects (multi-res, industrial, offices).
Experience in a Tier1 construction business is a requirement of the role.
You will have experience leading an HSE team, with proven capability in managing health, safety and environment.
You will have formal qualifications in an HSE discipline or similar, along with formal HSE management system audit qualifications recognised by a national body.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of B.C.A and applicable Australian Standards are highly regarded.
Finally, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the HSE legislative frameworks across all jurisdictions, and have the ability to communicate legislative requirements.
