As we celebrate an exciting time with growth and strong financial results, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a seasoned Regional Manager to join the senior leadership team.
Based in either Townsville or Rockhampton, you will lead a Regional Queensland business spanning sixteen depots from Fraser Coast to Port Douglas towards achieving objectives aligned with SWS's exceptional business service and will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of waste management. This challenging and rewarding position offers the chance to support our customers, grow our operations and contribute to shared and continued success.
Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for the region, which consists of sixteen locations across Regional Queensland and almost 200 staff. You will be key member of the Queensland Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with your own leadership team consisting of four Branch Managers.
You will have autonomy across the region to implement the business strategy and take the lead on safety, environment, operations, P&L budget management, customer service performance and oversight of key customer delivery throughout the region.
Your strong leadership and effective decision-making capabilities will inspire and motivate our high-performing Branch Managers and their blue-collar teams. Fostering Cleanaway's “Respect” culture and values, you will encourage collaboration, innovation sharing and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Selection Criteria
Senior Leadership experience overseeing management teams and their geographically dispersed frontline workforces.
Proven record of executing and maintaining an outstanding regional or national safety and environmental record.
Demonstrated ability in people development, leading, motivating and growing high-performing teams including cultivating strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Standard setter when it comes to developing a workplace culture that is focused on respect, diversity and inclusivity.
Strong experience in P&L management with experience in driving continued top and bottom line growth year-on-year.
At least ten years’ experience in an operational leadership role, preferably within the waste or transport industries.
Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Waste Management, Transport or Logistics will be highly regarded.
