The Opportunity

The Regional Manager is a key role within the senior leadership of the Residential Aged Care team. The role will be responsible for the overall leadership, direction, high-level oversight of care delivery and business outcomes across five to six residential aged care sites across the Sydney portfolio. The position encompasses strategic, governance and operational elements to ensure all facilities in the region provide high-quality care while operating within budget, and meeting compliance requirements. Reporting to the General Manager Residential Aged Care, the Regional Manager will be responsible for:
- Embedding the LifeCare Way across the region by establishing an operating rhythm to optimise resource efficiencies, clarify objectives, communicate regularly with direct reports and team members to create an open and inclusive culture.
- Ensuring Facility Managers work to embed quality care and clinical governance systems and processes, aligned to the LifeCare Way.
- Developing and executing the Region Plan on a Page to support the organisational strategy.
- Actively leading the Facility Managers to build the RSL LifeCare profile in their location, including building relationships with community groups and other RSL LifeCare management teams.
- Supporting and enabling the development of the facility management team. Identify opportunities for growth and be aware of organisational opportunities, education, and resources available to support them.
About You
For this appointment we are seeking an established senior leader with a track record in developing and leading high performing teams in customer centric environments. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Nursing, Health Service Management, Business, or Social Sciences.
- Experience in an operational leadership position with a proven track record of leading change and sustaining a high-performing team.
- Diversity of thought and experience within health care, aged care, or other customer-focused sectors (e.g. hospitality or retail).
- Strong commercial acumen with experience performing effectively against operational budgets, including labour costs.
- Experience managing operational compliance with complex regulatory requirements with the ability to interpret the regulatory environment as required.
