We have exciting part time opportunities for experienced and motivated Registered Nurse Educator in aged care, within the Mark Moran Group Team, in our state-of-the-art facility in Vaucluse. We are the most awarded aged care group in Australia with facilities in Warrawee, Little Bay and Vaucluse! This job will require the candidate to attend the Vaucluse facility for each shift.
Within this role, the main goal is to provide front-line leadership and education in the delivery of nursing care and services in the coordination, delegation and supervision of care and services provided by Registered Nurses (RNs), Care Staff, Allied Health, Lifestyle and all other MMG staff across the home. With the possibility of working on the floor as an RN if needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works up to three days a week in education and training role based on facility needs and requirements and reports to DON.
- Works with IPC lead/CCC/DDON to facilitate Infection Control Practical Sessions during onboarding and annually. Liaises with Physiotherapist to ensure annual Manual Handling refresher is organised.
- Conduct work in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards and Principles and other Company policies and procedures at all times. Conduct work in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards and Principles and other Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Identify and raise risk management and WHS issues on an on-going basis in relation to area of responsibility to ensure that incidents, maintenance issues, losses and breakages are reported in accordance with reporting procedures.
About you

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse preferably in Aged Care.
- Experience working in an in-charge (desirable).
- Qualified Registered Nurse (current AHPRA Registration).
- Holds Certificate IV Workplace Assessor Training or working towards same or equivalent qualification.
- Undertakes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training every year and Basic Life Support (BLS) training every three years
- Solid understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC and other aged-care related legislation.
- Intermediate computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills.
- Current police check.
- Valid work rights.
