About Us
Salisbury Family Care is a Doctor-owned, mixed-billing, AGPAL accredited general practice. The practice comprises of 7 GPs and a team of Allied Health Professionals. We combine the caring aspects of traditional family medicine with the knowledge and skills of modern general practice. At SFC, we provide ourselves on being patient-focused and work collaboratively to ensure our patients receive high-quality care. We are a training practice for GP trainees and medical students via the University of Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:
- Wound management - dressings & removal of sutures
- Adult and childhood Immunisations, Covid-19 vaccinations
- Chronic Disease Management plans and Health Assessments
- ECG, spirometry, 24 hr blood pressure monitoring
- Assist GPs with Intravenous Iron Infusions and minor procedures
- Co-ordination, management and maintenance of patient clinical data
- Quality improvement and accreditation activities
- Confidence to work independently within in a team environment
- Women’s Health and related procedures
The ideal candidate will be:
A strong team player who is also able to work independently
Friendly, caring and considerate
Conscientious to practice within a Nurse’s professional and individual scope of practice
Essential Criteria include
- Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Working with Children and National Police Check
- At least 2 years Practice Nurse experience
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine training, or be willing to complete the training prior to commencing role
- COVID-19 certificate of vaccination
Desired but not essential
- Previous experience with Best Practice software
- Assisting GPs with minor surgical procedures.
- Care Plans and Health Assessment Experience
- Immunisation and Australian Immunisation Register Experience
