WorkPac Health and Social Care are seeking experienced Registered Nurse staff to work three month contracts within the largest correctional centre in Australia. Clarence is a state-of-the-art Correctional Facility in NSW and is located approximately 3.5 hours from Brisbane and 6 hours from Sydney.
Job Role
Provide specialist assessment, care planning, treatment, withdrawal management, case management and referral services to people experiencing drug and alcohol problems and collaborate in the further development and delivery of a comprehensive multidisciplinary drug and alcohol service.
Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical services to provide quality and appropriate care to drug and alcohol clients with co-existing Mental Health issues and disorders within the Correctional Facility.
Participate in clinical handover, clinical supervision and clinical reviews, utilising outcome measures and consumer goals in the development of ongoing care plans.
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum of 4 + years in Australia as an Mental Health Nurse
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement recovery oriented individualised person centred and trauma informed care to clients of the Drug and Alcohol service.
- Bachelor of Nursing and unrestricted AHPRA
- Current First Aid and BLS Certification (ALS preferred) (12 month validity) National
- Criminal History Check (issued within last 3 months)
- COVID Vaccination Evidence (minimum 2 doses)
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency
- Venepuncture and Cannulation experience advantageous
- Current licence
