About Westside Haematology and Oncology Clinic
Westside Haematology and Oncology Clinic is located in Taringa with 14 treatment chairs. Our purpose-built facility is a leading provider of cancer treatment in Brisbane’s western suburbs. We offer a full range of specialist cancer services including:
- Day infusion unit that provides all cancer therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, blood transfusions, iron infusions and venesections.
- Dedicated team of Medical Oncologists, Clinical Haematologists and support staff.
About You:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with proven clinical proficiency in Haematology and Oncology nursing, including patient assessment, related treatments and blood products. They will be competent and confident in developing and maintaining high standards of care with the ability to individualise patient care, and be responsive to patients and their family's needs which is paramount within our unit.
The successful candidate in this position will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a haematology and oncology Registered Nurse
- CVAD and cannulation skills
- Current ADAC competencies
- Confidence in liaising with a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvements
- Day unit experience will be viewed favourably
- Demonstrated ability to communicate positively and to actively encourage a positive team culture and environment
- Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
