An exciting opportunity exists to join the Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS) Casual Pool and become a valued member of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Casual Pool. NSHNS provides quality care to patients requiring community nursing care in their home, or within a clinic environment, using an individualised, holistic and family-centred approach.

Where you'll be working
Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS) provides nursing care to people who reside within the NSLHD geographical area. Clinicians are based at 6 sites across the Local Health District (LHD).
These include:
Hillview Community Health Centre
Hornsby Hospital
Macquarie Hospital
Royal North Shore Hospital
Brookvale Community Health Centre
Mona Vale Community Health Centre
What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate community nursing care, in the patient home or clinic, in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide safe and quality nursing care to patients, utilising the primary nursing model of care and nursing competency standards. The RN will undertake comprehensive assessments of each patient to ascertain care needs and regularly evaluate the outcomes of care provided through reviews and assessments, maintaining up to date and accurate documentation in patient records.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- How do you consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Are you a Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please provide your AHPRA registration number.
- Summarise your current clinical community nursing experience including your ability to problem solve within the clinical environment. Please provide a demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices used when providing health services to families in their homes as a part of the community nursing position.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
