Ongoing Part Time – up to 64 hours per fortnight
An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse with perioperative experience to join the team at Portland District Health.
As part of this role you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the consumer’s needs, goals and preferences to optimise their health and well-being. Position will require on-call at least 1 weekend per month, plus up to 10 days per 28 day month.
About you:
- Currently registered as Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Willingness to expand/consolidate skills and competencies in the aspects of Perioperative Nursing, available at PDH, in line with the Victorian Perioperative Nurses` Group (VPNG) pathway.
- Previous, recent, and demonstrated experience in scrubbing/scouting roles with verifiable competencies in General, Orthopaedic and Endoscopy/Laparoscopy.
- An aptitude for learning, and a willingness to embrace this opportunity.
- Current employee police check, and Working with Children check.
- Ongoing registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including maintenance of Professional Portfolio
