A number of new opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic and skilled Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Rehabilitation team in these permanent positions. These roles offer a great chance to be supported to further develop your rehabilitation nursing skills and knowledge whilst enjoying a rewarding role with a great team.

HOURS: 40.0 hours per fortnight up to full time considered
DEPARTMENT: Flanagan Rehabilitation
The Position:
BRHS rehabilitation nurses work closely with our Allied Health professionals to achieve patient centred goals. Our Flanagan nurses enjoy the relationship building that occurs with patients and family members in this ward and find it extremely rewarding to see patients achieve their goals and return to their choice of residence. Applicants who are interested in specialising in rehabilitation or Drug and Alcohol nursing will be strongly supported to pursue further studies in these disciplines.
The Department:
The Flanagan Rehabilitation Ward is comprised of a combination of Subacute Rehabilitation / Geriatric Evaluation and Management, Transition Care Program (TCP) and alcohol and drug detoxification beds providing a diverse mix of patient care requirements.
What you need:
- Demonstrated competence in a clinical setting preferably in the sub-acute setting
- Ability to undertake full patient assessments and develop a goal based care plan
- Well-developed skills and knowledge of discharge planning and transition of care and proven participation in complex discharging planning
- Demonstrated well developed communication and negotiation skills
- Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service and patient centred care
- Recent acute nursing experience is highly desirable
