Excellent opportunities exist for dedicated Scrub ScoutRegistered Nurses to join the dynamic Operating Theatre team at a private hospital in Newcastle. There are Permanent Full-Time roles available.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
• Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• At least 2 years of experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing;
• Authority to Work in Australia;
• Valid NSW Working with Children check;
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
• Obtained Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards) (desirable).

REMUNERATION$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Maternity Unit comprises a Birthing Suite, Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery. Birthing Suite has 6 rooms on the ground floor, with Croudace Operating Theatres adjacent. The Maternity Ward encompasses 38 beds combined with antenatal and postnatal rooms.
