For you to do this, you must be an enthusiastic APHRA registered nurse or disability support worker with a proactive “can-do” positive attitude with good listening and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team setting.
In return of putting first your duty of care to client's in your professional life, you will be rewarded with direct close mentorship by medical educators, supervision by clinical medical doctors, and supported by an on-call medical team.
You will be given the opportunity to be trained by medical doctors on the following:
- Advance wound care including VAC dressings
- Advance stoma care
- Medical Management including injectables and palliative medications
- Epilepsy Management
- Advance bowel management
- Tracheostomy management
- Urinary Catherisations
- Vaccinations
- Intravenous cannulation, saline prime, and venepunctures
- Diabetes Management
- Complex behavioural management
- Basic ECG skill sets including interpretation
- Documentation and safe handovers
