Emergency Mental Health is collaborating with Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency Department to promote a RPN3 role supporting persons attending RMH ED in Mental Health (MH) crisis. The team will provide care to consumers seeking Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services as well as those accessing RMH ED with high prevalence disorders. The team will work closely with RMH ED, EMH team and consumer lived experienced members.
Your new role:
- Contribute to safe and timely access to MH and AOD services, work effectively with RMH ED to assist with the clinical management of consumers presenting to the ED.
- Works closely with the Emergency Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drugs services located within the Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency Department.
- Independently coordinate specialised Mental Health care planning.
About you:
- Apply your clinical knowledge and expertise to the assessment and delivery of evidence based interventions to consumers with complex Mental Health related needs.
- Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships between EMH, RMH ED and Alcohol and Other drugs services collocated in RMH ED.
- Demonstrate strong ongoing commitment to one's professional development and the ability to support and develop knowledge and skills in other team members.
- Possess formal qualifications and registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, experience in bed based services would be beneficial.
