Job description

Join a truly unique centre filled with aroha!

We are on the lookout for a Registered Kaiako to complete our team! As a kaiako with us, you'll weave the wonders of the natural world into every lesson, fostering a deep sense of connection and appreciation for the environment in our tamariki.

About us

Our centre revolves around child-led, learning through play and exploration. Our children’s ideas spring from their imaginations, not from screens. Our big open play space allows our tamariki to engage in authentic, exciting interactions with the ‘real world’ and its elements. We believe that animals have much to teach children and offer children a wide variety of animals to interact with! As well as working closely with animals, their feeding and care, we also focus on horticulture and spend time gardening, growing plants and flowers. We are lucky to offer Pony riding lessons!

What we’re looking for:

  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • Genuine care and love for the well-being and development of tamariki
  • A personality that fosters and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • Abundant reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum, and regular and emergent reviews
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • A creative mind capable of inspiring and igniting curiosity!

As part of the Busy Bees team, you can look forward to receiving:

  • Full Pay Parity!
  • Discounted childcare
  • First aid certification, annual flu vaccines and staff uniforms
  • Full reimbursement for Teacher Registration costs
  • A generous PLD budget where you can choose PLD for your own learning.
  • Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching and ongoing opportunities for career growth and personal and professional development

This is a fantastic opportunity to help grow our future generation. We would love to hear from you so do not hesitate, apply now send by sending through your CV and cover letter today!

Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
