Relationship Compliance Manager - Retail Trader Relations

This multi-site retail destination attracts over 4 million visitors a year. With over 200 speciality stores, they have a newly created opportunity for a Relationship Compliance Manager who will focus on partnering with their Retail Traders to develop and implement a compliance program with a focus on monitoring performance and taking appropriate action as required. Importantly, you will educate, support and communicate daily with the Traders to ensure the highest standards of operational compliance and customer engagement are being achieved.
Reporting to the Head of Safety and Compliance, this role will focus on building effective and positive relationship with Traders, ensuring there is commitment and compliance across a broad range of requirements and initiatives to enable the best possible customer experience, as well as promoting a safe and appealing environment. You will work closely with the Traders to educate and support them around store presentation, visual merchandising and safety service standards to maximise business performance. You will develop clear guidelines and KPI’s that Traders need to comply with, however working closely with the Traders, you will possess a natural ability to influence and gain their commitment through your approachable and supportive interpersonal style. Being able to address non-compliance issues in an unbiased and consistent manner, as well as establishing effective relationships that build and instils trust, will be integral to your success.
You will possess superior stakeholder management skills, will have experience in developing and leading compliance programs, as well as facilitating training and education around best practice standards, ideally gained from a retail, events or large customer facing environment. You have the maturity to relate to people from all cultures and backgrounds and enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals. Being responsive and able to juggle changing priorities, you will be someone who remains calm under pressure and has a confident yet unassuming manner. You are equally comfortable on the shop floor and being hands on as required, to dealing with senior Managers and Board members.
You will be highly proficient with Microsoft Office, coupled with your outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills. Ideally you will have formal qualifications in business or a related discipline to support your career experience and are used to budget management and expense control.
