We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Head of Management Assurance - Customer Group, an exciting opportunity is available for a Management Assurance Adviser to join their high performing and collaborative team.The role sits in the Consumer Hub but services the entire Customer Group to help the business apply Medibank's Operational Risk and Compliance Frameworks.The main purpose of the role is to provide 'first line of defence' support to the business in managing its risk and compliance obligations. This includes provision of expert risk and compliance advice, facilitation of risk management, compliance and incident remediation activities, and assessment and testing of business controls.Key accountabilities will include:
- Assist the business to identify key operational risks and support the development and ongoing review of risk profiles at Hub and Group levels
- Maintain knowledge of the Medibank operating environment and the impact of regulatory obligations on business processes and controls, including APRA standards
- Review and evaluate controls via test procedures to assess their effectiveness in managing operational risks and compliance obligations
- Support the business in the development of action plans to remediate risk and obligation control gaps
- Support the business in their management of operational risk and compliance incidents in alignment with Medibank's incident management procedure and help ensure the root cause of incidents is identified and remediation actions developed to prevent their reoccurrence
- Assist with the preparation of Customer Group risk committee papers and 'risk in focus' discussions at risk committee meetings
- Develop strong, open and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to influence change and support a risk and compliance culture
