The Role:
Brighter Super is a boutique superannuation fund committed to providing personalised, meaningful and face to face services to our members, employers and stakeholders. As a Relationship Manager, based in Central or northern Queensland, you will be responsible for maintaining and increasing employer and member acquisition and retention through the development and maintenance of strong, supportive partnerships with employers and a portfolio of high balance members.
The position will partner with other team members to promote Brighter Super to prospect members or employers as well as being responsible for maintaining and developing strong local relationships with existing and new stakeholders across multiple industries and locations.
The location for this role is in regional Queensland, preferred in Townsville, and we are open to discussion for a suitable location for this role with qualified candidates.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Increase member retention through developing strong, positive, and productive relationships with new and existing employer & member portfolio throughout your assigned region/portfolio.
- Participate in executing the B2B relationship management strategy and operational plan for your region that results in retention of employers, workplace access, default status and high levels of satisfaction
- To effectively promote the fund to current and prospect employers and members through seminars, webinars, in person meetings, outbound calls and digital channels.
- Identify key staff, including C Suite level decision makers and elected officials, within employers and make proactive contact to build effective and outcome-based relationships that contributes to member and employer retention and growth.
- Delivering dedicated B2C account management services to members of influence e.g. Mayors, CEOs, resulting in trusting and lasting relationships that deliver membership retention and tangible outcomes to members
- Assisting members with factual or general advice to make informed decisions around the management and growth of their superannuation, insurance, and wealth assets.
- Identifying opportunities to refer to our existing financial advice business unit to increase the number of members who are receiving financial advice solutions and who are accessing post retirement products
- Build relationships with local stakeholders and partners that assist with distributing the fund to members

Desired experience and requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or relationship management role preferably with RG 146 in superannuation.
- Experience in developing and nurturing leads in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to travel throughout regional portfolio area regularly, including some out of business hours work
- Proven ability in utilising exceptional interpersonal, relationship building, presentation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management, negotiation and promotional skills, particularly at executive
- Well-developed listening skills with the ability to understand and analyse client needs and design effective solutions
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including ability to undertake presentations to small and large groups
- Ability to pass an Australian Federal Police check and a bankruptcy check as part of being appointed and have regular checks as a part of your ongoing employment.
