We are seeking motivated Feedmill Hands to join our expanding team. These people will work every day in the feedmill and commodity related operations area.
This role is to support in the production and distribution sustainable feed. You’ll be a proactive and positive member of the Hemmant team, who has a passion for the poultry industry, willingness to learn and be part of an expanding organisation.
We are looking for people who are flexible to cover rotating shifts and Saturday work as and when the need arises in order to support the team

As the Reliability and Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for the planning and master scheduling of all maintenance activities within the facility. Your role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the preventative maintenance plan for the lifespan of equipment and to ensure it is maintained in the most cost effective and productive way possible and that planning windows are made available for priority works to take place.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Develop, monitor and implement maintenance plans for the site based on criticality of equipment to the site, known requirements, corrective requests, CBM inputs and legislative guidelines
- Ensure the execution of safety and quality assurance practices with all repairs and Maintenance activities and plan for corrective actions according to priorities within budgetary constraints
- Drive Ingham’s way asset management standards through ensuring high level of work practices
- Use key lead indicators to implement an improvement plan
- Contribute to the capital planning and budgeting process by forecasting future needs and identifying improvement opportunities
- Implement strategies to ensure that the labour cost base is the most productive, efficient and cost competitive in the industry
- Openly communicate and involve the entire workforce to set high safety standards and confront risks
- Ensure Ingham’s’ standards are communicated and met including animal welfare, work health and safety, quality and quarantine
- Liaise with Stakeholders to advise and find solutions to any issues or opportunities identified
Selection Criteria
- Experience as a Maintenance Planner in a fast-paced environment utilising CMMS (ideally Maximo)
- Experience in planning and scheduling that has mechanical, hydraulic & electrical equipment, as well as site services in ammonia refrigeration, gas boilers and heaters, compressed air, advanced wastewater and trade waste treatment
- Experience within a culture of 5S, TPM, LEAN/Six Sigma and CMMS (MAXIMO)
- Experience in CMMS rollout/implementation/integration experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated results in implementing maintenance tactics to improve reliability, practices, and performance
- Strong working knowledge of best practice maintenance management and systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders based on comprehensive data analysis
- Proven project management skills with capability to manage multiple tasks, measure performance and meet deadlines while holding self and others accountable
- Proven attention to detail with skills data analysis, information processing and problem solving
- FMCG industry experience highly desirable
- Experience with SAP desirable
